A 10-acre land project in the Santa Monica Mountains merging interests in conservation, art, and science
Little Sycamore Canyon sits on the ancestral homelands of the Chumash people.
We see this work as a series of ecological relationships involving many living things: including plants, animals, and people.
We acquired and began to steward this land in 2022, and are working to preserve in perpetuity.
We aim to provide direct and lasting experiences with environmental stewardship
We build community in stewardship practices by working on the land with volunteers, sharing time and ecological resources with others, and contributing to new ideas in the field of conservation. We seek to be good neighbors to plants, animals, people, and other living things.
